Traditional Brands Still Reign

Via Media Culpa Information/Business Week's List of the world's most valuable brands. Not surprising, the traditional brands still top the list. For interests sake,

The ten most valueable brands 2004 are:

  1. Coca-Cola
  2. Microsoft
  3. IBM
  4. GE
  5. Intel
  6. Disney
  7. McDonald's
  8. Nokia
  9. Toyota
  10. Marlboro

While many things contribute to putting these companies at the top of the brand list, including money, exposure, clever tactics, etc. overall it still takes a company a long time to build the kind of brand recognition to compete with the likes of Disney and Coke.
