How Kids Use Technology

Via Waxy, VC guru Guy Kawasaki interviews a panel of 16 to 24-year-olds about how they use technologies like cameras, cell phones and games. The 60-minute session includes some fascinating insights into their usage patterns. Two of the panelists claimed to send at least 4000 text messages a month. The other thing that was interesting to me was how much influence and control the college students' parents still appeared to exert in their lives. One student had to close her MySpace account because her parents didn't like it. Several others apparently have their cell phone bills paid by their parents. That's a different experience than I had at university, certainly.
