Forrester’s Corporate Blogging Platform Report

Back in January, I left a comment on Forrester analyst Charlene Li's blog. She was doing some research about corporate blogging platforms. I mention this because Forrester kindly sent me a copy of the resulting Forrester Wave report on corporate blogging platforms:

Forrester conducted in-depth evaluations of nine blogging platforms: Drupal, iUpload's Customer Conversation System, Roller, Six Apart's Movable Type and TypePad, Telligent Systems' Community Server, Traction Software's TeamPage, UserLand Software's Manila, and WordPress.

The results (which, sadly, will cost you a couple of grand) are illuminating.

These Forrester studies are generally very well put together and I often look them over for marketing research - particularly the recent study on ecommerce platforms.

I am initiating a public outreach through blogging campaign here for my company and look forward to seeing what they have to say. To start, I launched the blog on (my beloved) WordPress but I do have some apprehensions about WordPress's scalability (in the sense of adding additional bloggers and various content in multiple feeds NOT ability to handle traffic). Really what we need is a light-weight CMS as alluded to in the abstract of the study so i am curious to read it over (once i am caught up from Gnomedex).
